The time for change has come. We know that our system doesn't work, our kids are being killed, and also in our deadlock where lobbyist cash owns our politicians, we see nothing but misdirection and deflection. It's gotten so bad, that we've got take and high school kids being forced to stand on Washington. The opportunity to Rise Up is currently and demand action, require shift. I'm releasing this remix in support of Everytown.org and their efforts to spread the message for the requirement for commonsense gun reform and to end gun violence.
We're all better than this, is a route there is common ground, and our future depends upon it. We need to be coming together so we can look for an answer or strategy before another life is taken to put these issues on the table in a meaningful way. Our kids are being murdered in our schools. Lives will be lost before we do it? The timing for common sense reform and change is now.
I have always been a strong advocate for civil rights and equality, it's something near my heart. This song is aimed at people suffering discrimination the population or persecution, those who were bullied, and of course the racism that is still alive and well .
We are the New Kids, we are the vessel for change. There is a massive disconnect between this generation , and people struggling to suppress that movement. This polarization stems from a basic disagreement. There are those who truly believe stuff in that vein equality for all. The song was a literal and figurative megaphone of,"Hey, we are not going anywhere, we're here to stay, we've got the numbers, and we will fight."
This is a rally telephone, this can be really a call to action, this is our time to come together.
